PUBLIC HEARING: Public Hearings start at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2023 in Lethbridge County Council Chambers (#100, 905 4 Ave S., Lethbridge) or watch online at lethcounty.ca/p/council-meetings
WHAT IS THE BYLAW ABOUT? Bylaw 23-013 would establish methods for advertising public notices in Lethbridge County. Currently, the County must advertise things such as public hearings, meetings, etc. in a newspaper for two consecutive weeks, or mail a notice to each affected landowner. This proposed bylaw would allow the County to use alternative means to advertise these things (website, e-mailed notices, social media, app, newsletters, and notice boards at the Lethbridge administration office), without the requirement to use a newspaper or mailed letter, as long as the method(s) used could reach substantially all residents affected.
A copy of the proposed Bylaw can be found under the "Documents" section of this webpage.
