The Iron Springs road improvements project is part of the County's 2022 Capital Budget. It involves upgrading the existing gravel road to the new Huntsville School to a paved standard, as well as the reconstruction of Center Street and a portion of 1st Street in Iron Springs. Currently there is a Road Ban in place on Center Street that impacts local businesses. The road will be upgraded to a standard that will only require seasonal bans.

Impact to the public:

Once completed, road maintenance efforts will be reduced and Center Street will require seasonal bans only.

    Construction has resumed in Iron Springs after a winter shutdown. It is anticipated that construction will be completed by mid-June.

    Weather conditions have forced the contractor to pause construction this year, the work site has been prepared for winter shut down. Construction will re-commence in the spring of 2023.

    Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin on September 12, weather permitting. Adjacent residents will have notification letters delivered to them by the contractor with additional details. Construction is anticipated to be complete by November 15.
